I have been traveling in earnest since 2010 when I took my first solo international trip to the Vancouver Olympics. But really, I started taking road trips to nearby cities and states when I was in high school. I’ve always had an insatiable curiosity about the world around me and vow to see and experience as much of it as I can.

My career path has allowed me to teach at international schools, which makes spending my breaks and holidays in fascinating locales that much easier.

I have had the great fortune to visit all but one US State and over forty countries on six continents.

Through Amanda is Abroad, I hope to share some of my experiences, inspiration, and hard-learned lessons that I’ve gathered along the way.
